What is a guardian home / guardian family
At Bailey's Ranch we offer a program called Guardian Family. This is a person or family that will love and care for dogs that are apart of the Bailey's Ranch breeding program as if they were their very own.
Guardian home responsibilities
- First and foremost, love the dog as your own.
- Provide the dog food suggested by Bailey's Ranch.
- Follow ALL guidelines that will ensure a healthy diet and life for the dog.
- Keep up on basic training and training commands.
- Suitable yard space that is safe and fenced.
- Grooming must be scheduled on a regular basis and kept up on in all the seasons.
- Use one of our approved vets from the list that will be provided.
- Vet visits for wellness checks must be attended on a regular basis.
- Sick visits must be scheduled as needed.
- Everyday exercise is a non-negotiable.
- The guardian home must be located within a 25 mile radius of Bailey's Ranch.
Guardian pup retirement
Once your dog has completed their time in our Bailey's Ranch breeding program, we pay for her to be spayed and she becomes a permanent part of your family. Yup, that's right! They are yours forever.
